On May 11, 2009, Pina B’s received a “Gem of the Lakeshore” award from local MPP Laurel Broten. There were several winners in each category with one winner singled out for Special Recognition. Pina B’s was the Special Recognition Winner in the Service Businesses category.
The nomination form says: “The Gem of the Lakeshore was created to appreciate small business and service organizations that are unique to South Etobicoke and make our community a more vibrant place to live.” Pina B’s is honoured to be counted among the winners and to know that we are helping people to feel good about themselves and about our community.
